Meet Your Leadership Team

Daria Schaffeld- Chair

​Daria assumed leadership of the NCSSPC in November 2004.  Daria is the primary contact with NCSS Leadership in Washington D.C., organizes the production of our three newsletters, handles new membership and maintains the groups Facebook and Twitter pages.  Daria was on the Steering Committee for the APA Summit on High School Psychology Education.  She has been teaching Psychology 1, Psychology 2, and AP Psychology at Prospect High School in Mt. Prospect, Illinois for her entire career. Daria is a mom of one son, Logan, and one golden retriever, Solo. Her passions include traveling and Aerosmith!

Joe Geiger- Vice Chair

​Joe has been teaching high school psychology at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Illinois since 1995.  He has been a regular presenter at the National Council for the Social Studies conference for the past several years.  Since November 2004, Joe has served as vice chair for the NCSS Psychology Community.  Presently, he and his wife, Liz, have two children, Cami and Carter, and a dog, Riley "Chub-Chub".

Sejal Schullo- Asst. Chair

​Sejal has been part of the NCSS Leadership Team since 2011.  Her responsibilities include planning the co-hosted social held at the NCSS conference each year, contributing to the annual newsletters and designing membership gifts and marketing materials.  Sejal has been  teaching AP Psychology at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, IL for 14 years.  Other things that keep her busy include, her 3 girls at home, referring volleyball games and sponsoring the Indian culture club at school.  In her free time, Sejal enjoys cooking, playing volleyball,watching football and traveling with her family.   ​
